All of our activities are geared towards sustainability and are characterized by utmost thoughtfulness regarding the culture and needs of the people in Chepel. Every idea of a new project either comes directly from them or will be discussed with them in advance.
All projects are targeting the three main concerns of the people of Chepel:
The people of Chepel have established a commitee where the projects and their realiziation are being discussed. Regarding the realization of our projects the villagers are always involved, either by giving a low contribution, or – mostly – by providing their labour.
In our projects we try to create a workplace as often as possible, as for example the manager and technician for the small hydro power plant, the English teacher or the hostel parents.
