Early in 2019 the work for the extension of the school to a hostel was started. Along with this the elementary school with 5 class levels is going to be upgraded to a high school with 8 class levels, financed by the Nepalese Government, who also increases the number of teachers.
Friends of Chepel paid for the new hostel building with space for 35 children and their hostel parents. The children who come from far villages can now sleep, eat and learn in the hostel during the week and go back to their families on the weekend.
